Blain Elementary

On Friday, September 15th, Carroll Elementary School once again celebrated Grandparents' Day with their "Goodies with Grandparents Event."  All students were asked to bring in their grandparents or other special adults for an evening of quality time.  The PTO welcomed everyone, and activities included children interviewing their loved ones and a selfie station.  The tables were filled with cookies, brownies, and other delicious goodies for everyone to enjoy.  Gilbert's Martial Arts Academy was kind enough to volunteer their time and cotton candy machine to make sure all of our students were full of sugar before grandparents took them back home to Mom and Dad!  Families were able to play bingo for some fun prizes or were allowed to enjoy the beautiful weather outside on our playground.  

The PTO was thrilled to have so many grandparents and students attend this event.  We doubled last year's attendance and had approximately 300 people attended this awesome evening!  We were also excited to see several high school volunteers return to their elementary school to lend a helping hand.  We hope this event continues growing and families enjoy their time as much as we did!
